KIBA - why this anime is called KIBA??

Why on world this animé is called KIBA???
The main character's name is Zed, nor his Spirit is KIBA??

So why KIBA??

cmon, the name is only there to sound good.... the name "kiba" probably has nothing to do with the anime like for example: why is bleach called bleach??? cos kurosaki has bleached hair?

it is called kiba cause kiba means fang in itself and this is kind of a spoiler zed gets a new spirit called kiba at like the end of the anime

when the series will go foward it will tell it self that why it is called kiba.
but i will say that the name dosen't metter like bleach, but the story should be good the character details should be good.

I don't know why they named it Kiba. But I wonder who used the name Kiba first Naruto or Kiba. Because in Naruto, Kiba actually seems to make sense

I read in a magazine that Bleach was named after Nirvana's first cd, so maybe KIBA is something like that. or it could always be a description of personalities or something.

We can't ask why people call something is something. So it is the same i this case. We can't ask why the producer named this anime KIBA. They must have some idea when they named it. If you want to know why don't you ask the producer throught their office site. It must be more convienient and faster than ask around. I don't think there alot member in this forum know the reason why they named this anime KIBA. I don't know too. But i think may be it is the abbreviation of something

Mmmh...yes, I share your point of view. I also think that the more we watch the anime, sooner or later we’re going to find out about why this series is called “KIBA”. Though, there is also the big possibility that we won’t ever find about it, because, the more we know about the main storyline, the more interesting the anime becomes. And then, it's only logical that we kinda forget about the issue of why it is named KIBA.

So rather than discuss about the original of the name of the main characters, I think the studio focuses into the development of the story: all the characters internal troubles, shady backgrounds, intense and mixed politics, and even their murderous acts, all combine into making one awesome storyline! So it’s no wonder they don’t put any effort at all about discussing what is Kiba, why his name is Kina?, why the anime is named Kiba?, etc.

Anyway, maybe it was named Kiba, because it has a nice ring to it, afterall, many famous characters from those anime which are made for a rather young audience (or shonen anime, if you wish): for example, there are a lot of otakus (that is, older otakus, lolz) that still remember that nice and likeable little fellow: Kimba, the white lion, I also remember many characters (though not the animes names) like Kira, Kisha, Kida, Kimsha, etc. So there you are, many anime protagonists usually have the character “K” and “A” in their names. Not to mention all the ton of different meanings that the characters of KINA have in hiragana and katakana (I won’t even go that far, but I’m pretty sure those darn characters must have some meaning to the Kiba name).

Yeah, yeah, I know the main character's name is Zed, but there's always a big possibility that in this "alter" world, his former name was Kiba, who can really know?. In the end, we can always ponder and ponder about that dark and hidden meaning behind Kiba’s name, but in the meantime, I think I’d just enjoy the anime for a while. Lolz.

It could be due to the war. Or "fangs of war" with the countless fights between nations. Including Neotopia, Jimoto, Tempura and now Tusk.

hmm.. i've only ever seen it called KIBA so maybe it's an acronym and has nothing to do with the word fang at all.. just a clever play on the word made by the creators. the fact that it's all caps might hint that it actually stands for something.

it means fang? i don't really know what that has to do with anything in the series. maybe b/c monsters have fangs and their dangerous and the series is intense and has danger. i don't know

Kiba in japanese means "fang." The word fang is used in relation to the word "tusk" as in the land where the tuskers come from. The entire series revoloves around awakening tasker who was very critical in the creation of the land of tusk.

If you look closely at the OP, the KI and the BA are 2 separate symbols. KI refers to energy or chi and BA refers to a place, so literally: Spirit Place How's that for an explanation?
